Synopsis

When high-powered book editor Margaret faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that she's actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew, who she's tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family, and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

Sincerely laughed my head off so hard throughout this entire movie. Ryan and Sandra had amazing chemistry! The non-verbal and eye-rolling between them was hysterical! I loved Sandra B. in this role - very different for her. The casting was bang on - Betty White was hilarious and the scenery amazing. Most of the movie is shot in Alaska. This was a perfect "date night" movie for mom and dad. Just what we needed! Highly recommend and would easily watch this again and again.

My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. It was very funny!!! It would be a movie that we would go see again and I am sure we would laugh as much the second time as we did the first. We both love all of Sandra Bullock's movies and have never been disappointed in her acting and the type of movie she picks to be in.

sandra was amazing as well as ryan, great co-stars, fantastic movie.

I work at a club here in saint john and we took our youth group to see the movie and it was a funny movie to see not recommending the kids lol .. i would tell you about it but... you have to see for yourself

This was such a hilarious movie. So much fun. My finance laughed so hard and so loud I was embarassed. He loves comedies. Sandra Bullock's movies are always so good but I think this was one of her funniest. I would go see it again. Certainly worth the money.

Very Very good! I agree, Sandra Bullock generally doesn't dissapoint! This movie was good, and quite funny. I did find that it lacked a bit in the romantic relationship between Ryan's character and Sandra's. Its hard to explain but it felt like something was missing.
Still!!! The movie is great and a must see!!!

Once again Sandra Bullock never fails to disappoint - the acting was excellent, and laugh after laugh. A real good chick flick or date movie. Lots of humor and no swearing....just good light fun for all ages to enjoy!

This film was fantastic. The writing was clever and the casting was genius - these two have great chemistry! The story was great and the audience was laughing out loud a LOT! A great date movie or just great to escape into a good story told well.
