With the globe on the brink of World War II, Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman) travels from Britain to Australia to inspect a cattle ranch she inherited. Reluctantly joining forces with a rugged local known as the Drover (Hugh Jackman), she sets out on a cattle drive across hundreds of miles across harsh terrain to save her ranch. But when they finally reach the town of Darwin, they must contend with the same Japanese bombers that just rained death upon Pearl Harbor.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The story is moving and so well acted by the entire cast. I am so impressed that they also brought a sad but true historic story to the film of the 'lost generation'.....very brave and moving. The scenery is breathtaking, and so worth seeing on the big screen. My husband loved the film as well!

Enjoyable I Guess

Had very very high hopes for this movie based on the storyline and the main actors. Twice during the movie I thought it was over, then it just kept going. I felt that the story line could've been more developed. I think I expected a little bit more. Was one of those movies that in the end you wished you would've saved your money and waited until it came out on DVD.

One of the best movies

Australia is one of the best movies I've seen. Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman are sensational. I would recommend this movie to anyone :>

A fantastic movie. There were times when I realized I was holding my breath. Time went by easily and you were totally taken in by the characters. This is the type of movie that should be seen in a theater. One hundred percent worth the trip.

An excellent movie! It has been a while since I've enjoyed a move this much. It's a western, a war movie, and love story - my husband enjoyed it too!
