Q. What is Empire Reel Babies?

• Empire Reel Babies is a film screening series that offers moms and other caregivers a chance to see current releases (grown up movies!) with their babies in tow. Every detail is adjusted in the theatre for this special audience. We dim the lights, modify the volume, and bring in change tables, exersaucers, boucy seats and other amenities. We also have our VIB (Very Important Baby) stroller parking outside the auditorium.

Q. Are there age restrictions for Empire Reel Babies?

• Empire Theatres does not impose any age restrictions for the Empire Reel Babies program. The program is recommended for caregivers with babies in the newborn to pre-crawling range, but will absolutely not turn anyone away!

Q. Is Empire Reel Babies just for moms?

• No! The program is intended for all types of caregives (moms, dads, grandparents, childcare providers, etc.)

Q. Can I bring my other children to an Empire Reel Babies Screening?

• For the most part, Empire Reel Babies is targeted to adults, with content not appropriate for young children. However, from time to time we are able to screen family films when they are available and you are more than welcome to bring your older children to these screenings. Please note children aged 3 years and over will have to pay admission.

Q. How are the films chosen?

• Our Programming Department selects 3 new release movies for each Empire Reel Babies event. The selections are them emailed to the Empire Reel Babies mailing list to be voted on. Voting is as simple as responding to the email with the movie of your choice. Once the votes are in, we send out and email with the winning movie choice and the information on that film. To become a voting member with Empire Reel Babies (it's free!), simply send an email with your name, email address and preferred location to reelbabies@empiretheatres.com

Q. Is your refreshements counter open for Empire Reel Babies?

• Yes, you can purchase refreshments for Empire Reel Babies screenings.

Q. How much does Empire Reel Babies cost?

• The cost will vary depending on the location. Pricing for your location is listed within our Upcoming Playdates page.
